TECHNICAL CHALLENGES:
Molten Salts are used as heat transfer media in Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) sites.
The problem is with stem seals due to the elevated operating temperature.
SOLUTION:
Development of sets of Thermiculite® rings comprising blocked Thermiculite® 894 and die formed TR160 to be used as valve stem seals.

TECHNICAL CHALLENGES:
The customer called the applications team regarding a 20" plug valve and leaking cover seal. The current arrangement uses a RIR spiral wound gasket but can not create effective seal due partially to weak flanges.
SOLUTION:
The RIRK was designed by the applications department and used successfully to date.

TECHNICAL CHALLENGES:
To quickly produce a unique RTJ to allow sealing of two items with different groove pitches.
SOLUTION:
An Immediate turnaround from design through quotation to production. Provide a unique design produced and verified by Flexitallic engineers.
The customer gained a quick resolution to what was potentially a very costly problem. Time was saved as no flanges had to be replaced.

TECHNICAL CHALLENGES:
Our Engineering Team suggested the use of RTJ's made from Monel. A large quantity of RTJ's were ordered, which worked out much more competitive in price then the local competition.
SOLUTION:
Standard RTJ Joints were chosen by the client Sonagol in Monel. A large quantity of RTJ’s were ordered
Against strong local competition with cheaper prices, the customer appreciated Flexitallic engineering and support.
